المستخلص: سعى هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن تقنيات السرد في رواية الممكن والمستحيل للدكتور (طه وادي)، حيث كشف عن السرد ومفهومه، ومظاهر حضور الراوي وعلاقته بالمؤلف والشخصيات الأخرى، وكشف عن حضور المؤلف في الرواية، عن طريق التعليقات، والحكم والأمثال التي كان يأتي بها على لسان بعض شخصياته، وكشف البحث أيضا عن طريقة الروائي في استخدامه الزمن في الرواية، وأنه لم يعتمد على الزمن بمفهومه البسيط، ولكنه اعتمد على الاسترجاع والمزج بين الماضي والحاضر والمستقبل، كما تناول البحث المكان ووصفه وكيف وظف الروائي المكان في الرواية، فقد كان للمكان دور مهم في أحداث الرواية؛ حيث عكس المكان الطبقة الاجتماعية التي تعيش فيه، وكان الروائي مقتصدا في وصف المكان. وتناول البحث الشخصيات في الرواية، وقسمها إلى رئيسة وثانوية، وإذا كان الروائي اهتم بشخصياته الرئيسة والثانوية إلا أنه لم يعط البعد الجسدي إلا لشخصية واحدة، كما كان الروائي غالبا ما يمزج بين البعد الجسدي للشخصية والبعد النفسي، وقد أدت الشخصية الثانوية الدور المنوط بها؛ حيث كشفت بعض جوانب الشخصية الرئيسة، وأضفت على أحداث الرواية شيئا من الحيوية.

This research sought to reveal the techniques of narration in the novel “The Possible and the Impossible” by Dr. Taha Wadi, it revealed the narration and its concept, the appearances of the narrator and his relationship with the author and the other characters. It also revealed the presence of the author in the novel through the comments, wisdoms and Proverbs, which were said by of some of his characters. The research also revealed the novelist's method of using time in the novel. He did not rely on time in its simple sense, but relied on the retrieval and mixing of the past, the present and the future - he relayed on the psychological time in presenting the events. The research also dealt with the place and its description and how the novelist used the place in the novel. The place had an important role in the events of the novel; it reflected its social class, and the novelist was economical in the description of the place. The research dealt with the characters in the novel and divided them into primary and secondary ones. The novelist was interested in his main and secondary characters; however, he gave the physical dimension to only one character. The novelist often mixes the physical dimension of the character with the psychological dimension. The secondary character has achieved the required role as it revealed some aspects of the main character, and added a kind of vitality to the events of the novel.
