|a ليس هناك شخص في التاريخ سلطت عليه الأضواء منذ ولادته كمثل هذا الملك الشاب فقد ألهمنا اسطورة استمرت لفترة تقرب من 23 قرن. يبدو أن الإسكندر من القلائل الذين رسم لنفسه ولأمته مصيراً جديداً بكفاحه الدائم نحو الحياة المثلى وحب المنافسة في سني شبابه الأولى لم يكن ليهاب المخاطر ويحترم الآلهة ويعرف ما يتوجب فعله في الوقت الذي يتردد فيه الآخرون في اتخاذ القرار. هذه السيرة انتهت به شخص إذا قدسية. ففي خلال الثلاثة عشر عاما من حكمه والامتداد من ايجيا إلى الهند أي من السيادة إلى القدسية من الحياة إلى الاسطورة، فإن شخصية الاسكندر خضعت للتغيير المضطرد وقد ذكرته الأساطير بعدة صفات منها الأسطورة المصرية التي جعلت منه الهاً ونظرت التقاليد العربية والفارسية إليه نظرة البطل القدسي. ويظهر للمتتبع أنه بعد موت الإسكندر تظهر إنجازات مادية حققها الإغريق وهي نشر مبادئ الهلنستية في الشرق الأدنى وهي من عمليات التوسع الثقافي حيث نرى بقايا المسارح الإغريقية ومدارسهم في كل مكان شيدوه وصولاً إلى بابل. خلاصة القول إنه توفي شابا فاقداً للأمل، فلم يكن لديه خطط لخلافته إذ انه ترك اخا فاقداُ للأهلية وطفلاً لم يلد بعد وهو محط أنظار الطامعين. مات الإسكندر في قصر نبوخذ نصر في بابل بعد أن نجا من معارك طاحنة ربما أوهنت جسده وتركته عرضة لآفات المرض الذي اوهن جسده والعقل.

|b There is no person in history that brought the spotlight from birth as such this young King who inspired us a legend lasted for a period of almost 23 centuries. It seems that Alexander from the few who drawn himself and his nation a new destiny by his constant struggle towards a perfect life and the love of competition at the age of the first youth when he never feared to risk and urged respect for the gods and knows what to do while others frequented in the decision making. This biography is over with a person of sanctity. During the thirteen years of his reign and the extension from Aegean to India from sovereignty to the sacredness or from life to legend, the Alexander character underwent steady change, several myths have referred to him in many attributes; such as the Egyptian legend, which made him a God and the Arabic and Persian traditions that considered him a divine hero. A researcher may realize that after Alexander's death, the material achievements of the Greeks represented by the dissemination of the principles of the Hellenism in the Near East which is a sort of cultural expansion operations where we see remnants of Greek theatres and schools everywhere they built down to Babylon. The bottom line that he died young, unconscious, he had no plans of a successor, as he left an unconscious competence brother and a child that is not born yet in the midst of aspirants. Alexander died in Babylon at Nebuchadnezzar's Palace after he survived the heavy fighting that may have debilitated his body and left him susceptible to diseases that sapped his body and mind.
