المستخلص: The examination of the inscription found Hadrumetum (Sousse) makes it possible to recognize the public character of a tribute paid to the quaestor of the Roman province of Africa, by these twenty-three amici, all of them eminent men belonging to the municipal society of Hadrumetum. Dating from the third century, the text of the tribute suggests that L. Terentius Aquila Grattianusis was called upon, as quaestor of the province, to intervene in a private matter of a legal nature concerning this group of twenty-three dignitaries of the city.

L’examen de l’inscription trouvée Hadrumetum (Sousse) permet de reconnaître le caractère public d’un hommage rendu au questeur de la province romaine d’Afrique, par ces vingt-trois amici, appartenant tous à des gentes éminentes de la société municipale A'Hadrumetum. Datable du IIIe siècle, le texte de l’hommage laisse comprendre que L.Terentius Aquila Grattianusest appelé, en tant que questeur de la province, à intervenir dans une affaire privée à caractère juridique concernant ce groupe de vingt-trois dignitaires de la ville.
