|b This study was carried out on three apricot cultivars (Ferina, Canino and Hatif Colombea) grown in two locations (Zahraa and Tarhuna Experiment Stations), during the 2009 agricultural season to evaluate the effect of the cultivar and the location on the physical and chemical traits of the fruits of three apricot varieties . measured (weight of the fruit, volume, , length , width , thickness of the flush, weight of the seeds, acidity (Ph), total soluble soilds. In all measured physical properties were found to be Fruits collected from Zahraa Station were superior to those Fruits collected from Tarhuna Station. The significant superiority of physical properties of the fruit due to the effect of location could be explained on the basis of the effect of irrigation available to the trees in The Zahraa Station and not in Tarhuna Station. Or the significant interaction effect between cultivars and locations also could add to this superiority. In the case of the volume of the juice, fruit from Zahraa Station produced double the volume produce by fruit collected from Tarhuna Station. This result is acceptable due to the large difference in fruit size between Zahraa and Tarhuna stations is considred. For that acidity (Ph) and the total soluble solids (TSS) no important differences were detected by the statistical analyses of the data between the two stations, and because the date of maturity is the same for the three cultivars in both stations, and because those two traits are affected to a great extent by the date of maturity, those two results could be expected. In addition, to the effect of irrigation (location) on the studied fruit traits, the genetic differences between the cultivars could have been an important factor in causing the significant differences found by the present study.

|a أجريت هذه الدراسة على ثلاثة من أصناف المشمش (فيرينا وكانينو وهاتف كلومبيا) النامية في كل من محطتي الزهراء وترهونة للبحوث الزراعية. لدراسة تأثير الصنف والموقع على الصفات الطبيعية والكيميائية لثمار هذه الأصناف الثلاثة. وتم قياس الصفات الأتية: )وزن الثمار, حجم الثمار, الطول والعرض , سمك الجزء اللحمي , وزن البدور, الحموضة , المواد الصلبة الذائبة الكلية, حجم العصير. في جميع الصفات الطبيعية المدروسة تفوقت أشجار محطة الزهراء على مثيلاتها في ترهونة, حيث دلت النتائج على وجود فروق معنوية بين الأصناف داخل الموقع )الزهراء وترهونة( في الصفات الطبيعية لثمار المشمش, إرجاع السبب في هذه النتيجة إلى الري المتوفر للأشجار في الزهراء ,واذا اخدنا في الاعتبار الفارق الكبير بين الموقعين في حجم ووزن الثمار حيث كانت الثمار في منطقة الزهراء اكبر من الثمار في محطة ترهونة وبذلك فان كمية العصير في ثمار محطة الزهراء ضعف كمية العصير في محطة ترهونة. أما بالنسبة للحموضة والمواد الصلبة الذائبة الكلية, فقد بينت النتائج عدم وجود فروق معنوية بين المحطتين. وبما أن موعد النضج متقارب فيما بين الأصناف الثلاثة في الموقعين, وبما أن هاتين الصفتين تتأثران بشكل كبير بموعد النضج فهتان النتيجتان يمكن توقعهما.
