Studying the artistic portrait occupies an area of literary criticism. It is the device to enter the Arabic poetry and tasting it according to the different images that show the ability of the poet of creativity. There fore the portrait is one of the important creative elements. One of the portraits that occupied poetry is the portrait of woman that is represented by her feminine beauty. The subject of the study is about the portrait of woman in Umayyad era in the sixth class Islamists poets. The researcher's methodology consists of some parts that construct the structure of the research. It consists of preface and three chapters with introduction and conclusion present the results of the study. In the preface, the position of woman in the pre-Islamic and Islamic ages is mentioned. In addition to the concept of the class for Ibn Salam Al-jamahi with explaining its idea. The first chapter talks about the types of portraits that show the beloved woman in the poetry of sixth class poets. It is divided into two part, the first one studies the senses (tasting, sight, smelling, and touching), and the other one is mental images (conceptual). The second chapter presents the styles of the sensory portrait in the poetry of sixth class poets. It consists of three topics: the first one discusses the simile, the second is metaphor, while the third one focuses on metonymy. The third chapter is stating the function of the portrait. It is divided into two topics: the first one studies the aesthetic function by means of poetic language and its elements. The other topic is the psychological function by means of internal and external music. As for the results of the study: This study attempted to focus on the artistic vision of the Umayyad poet, among them the sixth class Islamists poets, and shedding light on the portrait of the beloved woman who combines all components of the nature to form a detailed picture formulated in a very creative way and high artistic ability, even if this formulation is nearer to following than to creativity. The image that poets drew achieved aesthetic and psychological functions. Aesthetics garnished the portraits by means of linguistic performance for the words, sentences, and the styles that reflected their poetic language. As for the psychological function, it is exemplified by music (internal and external) that combined with the psychological sense of the poets. Arranging the poem on poetic meter show the effect of the psychological sense, forming the internal music of repetition, alliteration, antithesis reflect the psychological excitement whether it is sadness or happiness.
