Science of usual has an obvious benefit; it establishes rules for the jurist to derive the legal judgments from their detailed evidences, a great number of the legal judgments and the worshipers' functions are derived from it, so scientists and jurists pay a great attention to it to arrange its sections, showing its eloquence and criticizing its unique points. The two main bases of legislation- the holy Qur'an and prophetic tradition- includes a number of the speculative and definite proves that may lead to different understandings depending on the language nature, the speaker, as well as the receiver status. In many cases these proves could not be clarified without certain elements. Verbal and moral, known as (indications) as they are connecting with speech, directly or indirectly. These indications are scattered in the books of the usulists, so this research is to collect them to be studied independently to recognize their effects on deriving the legal judgment for Imamates, referring to the texts involving ijtihad and showing their significances and purposes. Their importance is clarified in been one if the devices on which the usuli scientists depend to analyze texts to obtain the legislator purpose which is to follow His Almighty god instructions. One of the results of the Islamic sects disagreement is the various derivation devices and the various ways of understanding the text which may resulted in been far from the right path that should be followed represented by Ahlul-Bait (P. U. Th). This thesis shows that indication is not restricted for certain topic of the usuli topics, rather, it includes a great number of them such as: - command, prohibition, the general and specific, restricted and unrestricted, conceptions, discrepancy and preferring, and so on. By studying the jurists words and expressions we can observe the importance of the indications as they referred and mentioned it in different situations, and this involves studying indication to recognize its varied meaning and significances. There are many divisions of indications; some of them had been mentioned by Sayed Mohammed Baqhir Al-Sder in his Doroos fi Elm Al-Usol by dividing them into connected and separated, and each of them is divided into verbal and nonverbal. The researcher found that the most famous division is to divide them into verbal indications, as in the first chapter, nonverbal indications, as in the second chapter, and common indications as in the third chapter. These three chapters are followed by the conclusion, which includes the most important results, and the bibliography.
