Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf is one of the Arab cities that have religious features and subjected to different intellectual trends. The journals represented one of intellectual ways to face the intellectual invasion as well as its important role in adjusting the religious sects and doctrines in Iraq and the Islamic world, especially in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf where the holy shrine of Imam Ali (P.U.H) located as well as the religious authorities which have a great effect on most of the population of Iraq and the other Islamic countries so the religious authorities had great effect on the reformative movement to which most of the thinkers in the Islamic world had called. The role of the Najafi journalism did not restricted to resisting the perverted ideas, it had an educational role in diffusing the Islamic values to establish a family that can resist perversion by establishing the Islamic values in society. The call for reconciling the Islamic sects and doctrines was so clear in the Najafi journalism in order to fortify the Islamic society against the sectarian riot to repulse the foreign interference which aims to arouse riot and segregation among the society members and that resulted in weakening the Islamic nation. It adopted the Palestinian issue and defense it through the fatawy that called for Jihad and supported it morally and materially, because Zionism aims to exile the religious state from Palestine and that the religious thought must be resisted by a religious thought. |
