المستخلص: It has become agreed upon among all those interested in the educational field regardless of their ideological orientations that there’s a strong correlation between the quality of performance in any educational system and that of the faculty members working in it. In order to manage the educational process in all its components and to control the nature of the interactions between them and evaluate them continuously to achieve the desired goals, it is necessary to raise the performance of faculty members and employ them for their competence and to direct their skills to achieve better education and performance more effective commensurate with the abilities of learners and their characteristics Different educational levels. Especially as the outputs of the educational process of learning are affected greatly by the efficiency and development of the faculty member, and the extent of the ability of the teaching competencies necessary to carry out its tasks to the fullest, taking into account the integration of these competencies with each other. The competencies necessary for the university faculty member to practice the teaching profession are in the adequacy of the planning of the lesson, the adequacy of the lesson implementation, the adequacy of classroom management, the adequacy of the use of teaching aids and the adequacy of the evaluation

بات من الأمور المتفق عليها بين جميع المهتمين بالشأن التربوي على اختلاف توجهاتهم الفكرية أن ثمة ارتباط قوي بين نوعية الأداء في أي نظام تعليمي ونوعية أداء أعضاء هيئة التدريس العاملين فيه. ومن أجل إدارة العملية التعليمية بكافة مكوناتها والتحكم في طبيعة التفاعلات فيما بينها وتقييمها بشكل مستمر حتى تصل إلى تحقيق الأهداف المرجوة من ذلك، لابد من رفع مستوى أداء أعضاء هيئة التدريس وتوظيفهم لكفاءتهم وتوجيه مهاراتهم لتحقيق تعليم أفضل، وأداء أكثر فاعلية بما يتناسب وقدرات المتعلمين وخصائصهم في مختلف المستويات التعليمية. خاصة وأن نتاجات العملية التعليمية التعلمية تتأثر تأثرا كبيرا بمدى كفاءة عضو هيئة التدريس وإعداده، ومدى تمكنه من الكفايات التدريسية اللازمة للقيام بمهامه على أكمل وجه، أخدين بعين الاعتبار تكامل هذه الكفايات مع بعضها البعض. وتتمثل الكفايات الضرورية لعضو هيئة التدريس الجامعي لممارسة مهنة التعليم في كفاية التخطيط للدرس، كفاية تنفيذ الدرس، كفاية إدارة الصف، كفاية استخدام الوسائل التعليمية وكفاية التقويم.
