|f Mountain areas account for 25% of the total land area and contain very important and diverse natural resources, however they remain forgotten and marginalized in terms of development programs and the volume of investments allocated to them, which in turn contributed to the impoverishment of its population.\n\nSince the announcement of World Mountain Day in 2003, discussions started about sustainable mountain development. Given the importance of mountain regions in achieving comprehensive sustainable development in the country, it is not possible to ignore what it can offer to materialize the latter. So there is a need to increase interest in mountain areas and work on their development, in a sustainable manner, without forgetting the development of mountain tourism.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018

|d Les zones montagneuses representent 25% de la surface de la terre ferme, et contiennent des richesses naturelles importantes et variées, mais en depit de cela elles restent marginalisées par rapport aux programmes du developpement et aux taux d’investissement qui ont concouru à l’appauvrissement de leures populations.\nDepuis 2003 année de la proclamation de la journée mondiale de la montagne on parle du developpement durable de la montagne, et vue l’importance des zones montagneuses dans la concretisation du developpement durable total, on ne peut ignorer le rôle qu’elles peuvent jouer dans son realisation, par consequent il faudrait leures donner beaucoup d’importance et oeuvrer pour leures developpement durable sans oublier celui du tourisme montagnaire.\n

|a تمثل المناطق الجبلية ما نسبته 25% من المساحة الإجمالية لليابسة، وتحتوي على ثروات طبيعية جد هامة ومتنوعة، لكن رغم هذا تبقى منسية ومهمشة من حيث البرامج التنموية، وحجم الاستثمارات المخصصة لها، الأمر الذي ساهم بدوره في إفقار سكانها.\nومنذ الإعلان عن اليوم العالمي للجبال عام 2003م، بدأ الحديث عن التنمية المستدامة الجبلية، ونظراً لأهمية المناطق الجبلية في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة الشاملة للدولة فلا يمكن تجاهل ما بمقدورها أن تقدمه لتجسيد هذه الأخيرة، لذا لابد من زيادة الاهتمام بالمناطق الجبلية، والعمل فعلياً على تنميتها، تنمية تكون مستدامة، دون أن ننسى تنمية السياحة الجبلية.\n
