تناول هذا البحث التكوين التاريخي لطائفة الأنجليكان من حيث الأحداث والرموز التي أثرت في مفاصيل تاريخ الطائفة، الطائفة الأنجليكانية التي تضم في عضويتها أكثر من 80 مليون عضو في 38 أبرشية، وتنتشر عبر 161 دولة منتشرة بكل اللغات وفي كل الأعراق، وعليه فتعد الطائفة الأنجليكانية ثالث أكبر طائفة نصرانية في العالم • ثم تناول الملامح العقدية للطائفة، فبحث تاريخ تشكلها العقدي، وجزء من الفلسفة الروحانية لها، ثم تناول موقفهم تجاه غيرهم بشكل عام، والمسلمين بشكل خاص، فبالإضافة للتميز العددي، ثمة تميز عقدي، وهو أن عقيدتها لديها من المرونة بشكل كاف للتشكل وإعادة القراءة، كما تناول البحث استقلالية الطائفة، إذ ترى نفسها في المنطقة الرمادية بين الكاثوليك والبروتستانت، فهي تتصور نفسها بين الطائفتين، إذ تعتمد كثيرا من التقاليد النمطية الكاثوليكية داخل الكنيسة والحياة المتحررة من العقائد خارج الكنيسة • ويتناول البحث مصدر العقيدة لهذه الطائفة وهو ما تشكل خلال تاريخها من اعتقادات أساقفة كانتربيري وعلى رأسها كتاب الصلوات العامة المشتركة، بالإضافة إلى ما يضيفه كل أسقف لكنيسته، مع مجموع توصيات مؤتمر لامبيث بشكلها العام • المعاصرة جعلت هذه الطائفة الفريدة في عالم النصارى في خضم الأحداث السياسية، والعلم الحديث بنظرياته الإلحادية وجعلت نفسها في احتكاك مع غيرها من الطوائف والأديان وحاولت أن تسجل لنفسها موقفا إيجايبا معهم في آخر تطورات الطائفة.
This research deals with the historic formation about the Anglican community in terms of events and symbols that influenced the history of the community.
