المستخلص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى استقصاء القدرة التنبؤية للحاجات النفسية في الميل للتطرف الفكري. تألفت العينة من (85) متطرفا فكريا موقوفا في مراكز الإصلاح والتأهيل الأردنية التابعة لمديرية الأمن العام، ضمن مظلة وزارة الداخلية؛ ممن هم متهمين بقضايا تتعلق بالتطرف الفكري والإرهاب. تم تطبيق مقياسان على أفراد العينة من المتطرفين الموقوفين، وهي: مقياس الحاجات النفسية، ومقياس الميل للتطرف الفكري. أظهرت النتائج أن أكثر الحاجات النفسية انتشارا هما الحاجة إلى الإنجاز، ثم الحاجة إلى التقدير. كما أظهرت نتائج تحليل أموس إلى وجود قدرة تنبؤية للميل نحو التطرف الفكري، وقد كشف معامل المسار المعياري وجود تأثير لبعد الحاجة للانتماء على الميل للتطرف الفكري. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج يمكن التوصية بضرورة عمل بحوث نوعية تستهدف المتطرفين فكريا والإرهابيين للوقوف على خبراتهم وتجاربهم الحياتية، وتفعيل رسالة عمان على أرض الواقع، وتضمين متغير الدراسة في بناء البرامج الوقائية والعلاجية من أجل الوقاية من الانحراف الفكري والسلوكي.

The study aimed to survey the predictive ability concerning the psychological needs for the tendency of intellectual extremism. Thus the sample was formed from 85 arrested extremists at Jordanian rehabilitation centers related to Jordan security department, within the umbrella of Ministry of Interior, who were interested in issues related to the intellectual extremism and terrorism. Two measurements were applied on the sample members from the arrested extremists; they are the psychological needs measurement, and the tendency to intellectual extremism measure. The results revealed that the most common psychological needs are the need of accomplishment then the need of appreciation. Amos analysis results revealed having a predictive ability for tendency towards the intellectual extremism, the standard path aspect showed having effect of the need of belonging to the intellectual extremism. Within the framework of these results, it is recommended to make qualitative researches targeting the intellectual extremists and terrorists, for they are not considered as only members. For it is needed to reveal their life experiences in order to activate the theme of Amman as reality. In addition to including the study variables, the suggested protection program in establishing the protection programs for the aim of taking the needed protection from the behavioral and intellectual deviations. In addition to including the strategies mentioned in the aspects of the suggested attached protection program.
