المستخلص: Two finite element analysis programs been selected to simulate the static load by Auto desk Inventor Pro, the temperature distribution and thermal residual stresses simulated using the ANSYS workbench R15 in both of the two programs, finite element method is based in the analysis of welds. Analysis in this study covered two types of joining Arc welding for similar carbon steel and Brazing for dissimilar cobber alloy with stainless steel of different weld joints such as Butt, Lap and Tee joint. The results from analysis include strains, stresses as well as Distortions for both Arc welding and brazing for all joints been selected. The temperature distribution in the Arc welding Butt joint maximum reached (1500˚C) and decreased to (1283.6˚C)while the Tee joint in Brazing Maximum (902.63˚ C) and start to fallout to (751.38˚C). Arc welding Butt joint Von Mises stress maximum value (155.2 Mpa), while the Arc welding Displacement of Tee joint were (33.25 mm). In Lap joint Arc welding method the third principal stress maximum value in the fixed edge bottom corner equal to (453.4 MPa). On the other hand Brazing for Tee joint first principal stress maximum where (8607 MPa) and the Von Mises stress of the Lap joint maximum value reached (1890 MPa) as well the displacement for the Butt joint Maximum value (0.1857 mm) at the Cu-alloy end. About Arc welding Lap joint result of Von Mises the maximum reached (192.04 Mpa) on the fillet start and end for both sides.
