المستخلص: تضمن البحث أثر الاتفاق الودي الذي عقد بين بريطانيا وفرنسا عام 1904 على مصر، لتسوية لأطماع الاستعمارية لكل منهما، وهو بمثابة مؤامرة لسلب حقوق الأمم واستقلالها، ونتج عن ذلك الاتفاق آثار وانعكاسات على الاحتلال البريطاني لمصر من جهة والأسلوب الذي اتبعه المندوب السامي اللورد كرومر تجاه الوضع السياسي في مصر، ومن جاء بعدهم من الحكام.
