|a أدرك الإنسان الجاهلي أن امتلاك السرعة واستخدامها، لا يكون إلا في إيقافه موقفا يستدعيها، وهذا يعني أن الشاعر بحاجته ودوافعه كان وراء رسم الطير في شعره، حتى ليشعر المرء وهو يتتبع خصائص الطير، كان في الواقع يتتبع حركة الإنسان ويتغلغل في أعماقه. واستعانة الشاعر بالقطاة، وجعلها معادل موضوعي له، كانت له دلالات فكرية ونفسية، قد فرضتها المناسبة وطبيعة الحدث.
