|f The essay proposes an analysis of Carlo Cassola's novel La ragazza di Bube. The first part traces the author's rich literary production whose criticism divides, almost unanimously, into three phases: two existential, with an intermediate parenthesis of narrative of the commitment.\nWe then proceed, in detail, to examine the novel which, in the context of Cassolian production, can be considered representative of these three phases, as a "border novel", but also a summary. In fact, it connects the existential themes to the theme of the Resistance, the historical frame of a work imbued with good feelings which intended to tell the personal story of the two protagonists.\nThe image of the Resistance that emerges from the novel will be highlighted and which, albeit marginal, gave bitter criticism to Cassola for the judgments expressed, which is considered defamatory, especially for what concerns the issue of violence to which the author reserves comprehensive tones , almost absolutors.\nFinally, particular emphasis will be given to the pre-eminent existential dimension, embodied by the love story between Bube and Mara, highlighting the growth, maturation and awareness of the latter, at first frivolous and mediocre character, who then proves to be determined and aware. |d Il saggio propone un’analisi del romanzo La ragazza di Bube di Carlo Cassola. La prima parte ripercorre la ricca produzione letteraria dell’autore che la critica suddivide, pressoché unanimemente, in tre fasi: due esistenziali, con una parentesi intermedia di narrativa dell’impegno.\nSi procede quindi, nel dettaglio, all’esame del romanzo che nell’ambito della produzione cassoliana, può considerarsi rappresentativo di queste tre fasi, in quanto “romanzo di confine”, ma anche di sintesi. Ricollega, infatti, le tematiche esistenziali al tema della Resistenza, cornice storica di un opera intrisa di buoni sentimenti che ha inteso raccontare le vicende personali dei due protagonisti.\nVerrà poi messa in luce l’immagine della Resistenza che scaturisce dal romanzo e che, seppur marginale, procurò a Cassola aspre critiche per i giudizi espressi, ritenuti diffamatori, soprattutto per ciò che attiene al tema della violenza alla quale l’autore riserva toni comprensivi, quasi assolutori.\nInfine, sarà dato particolare rilievo alla preminente dimensione esistenziale, incarnata dalla storia d’amore tra Bube e Mara, evidenziando il percorso di crescita, maturazione e presa di coscienza di quest’ultima, personaggio dapprima frivolo e mediocre, che si rivela poi determinato e consapevole. Un modello ricco di aspetti umani, semplici ma profondi, che compie un percorso evolutivo sorprendente.\n
