The objective of this research paper is the welcoming conventions and the courtesy of the German culture, which is conceptual and pragmatic, do not correspond to the usual salutations in the Arabic cultural circle. This has to take sufficient account of the foreign language teaching so that the Arab learners or the Arab learners of German can develop full social skills in the situations of encounter and greeting. The German learner must, for example, learn what a non-rejection of the greeting on the part of a German and the related circumstances and causes in the foreign culture means. In this way, the learner acquires the basic foundations of the respective cultural-specific welcome standards. In the context of forms of contact or presentation in foreign cultures, language teaching can help to raise awareness by emphasizing the following: While the standards of contact with the Arabs are not in the respect of social distance but rather in the reduction of the distance, which includes a positive politeness orientation, the Germans place great emphasis on their distance needs and on the politeness in the forms of contact. On the other hand, it is necessary to take into account such differences in the classroom. For example, try to teach the Arab learners of German how German culture differs from their own (Arabic-Islamic) culture. The lack of knowledge about politeness standards can lead to intercultural misunderstandings. For this reason, it is only logical to pay more attention to the communication routine and to the cultural contrast in foreign language teaching. The following short list lists the most important problem areas, which cannot be dispensed within German as foreign Language teaching, because it is possible to gain knowledge of how to communicate the statements to the addressee, respect for the communication partner, and the relationship affected.
