هدفت هذه الورقة إلى التعرف على مفهوم القيادة الفاعلة، وخصائص وسمات القيادة، كذلك التعرف على متطلبات القيادة الفاعلة في ظل هذا العصر المتجدد، وعصر التحديات المختلفة، إضافة إلى معرفة أهمية القيادة، ومتطلبات القيادة الفاعلة المؤثرة، والتعرف على أبرز صفات القائد الناجح، كما هدفت الورقة إلى معرفة أنماط القيادة، وكذلك تحديد أهم مهارات القيادة وأبرز التحديات التي تواجه القائد. تتكون الورقة من مقدمة وخاتمة وخمسة مباحث: تكلمنا في المبحث الأول عن التعريف بمصطلح القيادة وأهميتها ومتطلباتها وعناصر القيادة الفاعلة. وفي المبحث الثاني تناولت سمات وخصائص القائد وكذلك دوافع القيادة الفاعلة، ومن أبرزها الدافع نحو الإنجاز، والثقة بالنفس، إضافة إلى القدرة على التفكير التحليلي، والمشاركة الفاعلة. ثم ذكرنا في البحث الثالث تحدثت عن أنماط القيادة وأنها عبارة عن الممارسات التي تصدر من القائد، وأن كل قائد له تركيبة تتناسب نمط الشخصية القيادية له. وتم الحديث كذلك عن أبرز نظريات القيادة، وأنماط القيادة المختلفة وسمات وخصائص كل نوع من هذه الأنماط. وفي المبحث الرابع تكلمت عن مهارات القيادة الفاعلة وأن امتلاك القائد لهذه المهارات تجعل منه قائد ملهم وذو قيادة وتطلعات وشخصية قيادية فاعلة ومؤثرة. وقد تم تحديد عشر مهارات للقائد الناجح من أهمها مهارة التفويض، ومهارة إدارة الاجتماعات، ومهارة الإنصات، ومهارة الاتصال الفعال، وكذلك مهارة اختيار المساعدين، ومهارة الأقناع، ومهارة التفاوض. وفي المبحث الخامس والأخير تطرقت إلى أهم التحديات والصعوبات والمشكلات التي تواجه القيادة والقائد وكيفية التغلب على هذه التحديات والصعوبات بطريقة فعالة وفاعلة، وتحددت أهم التحديات في تحديات تتعلق بالقائد، وتحديات تتعلق بالمرؤوسين، وتحديات تتعلق ببيئة العمل. ثم خاتمة الورقة، وأهم المراجع لهذه الورقة.
