|b A novel acryl monomers of cephalexin containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole were synthesized and polymerized by using azobisisobutylronitrile (AIBN) as initiator. The 1,3,4- oxadiazole cephalexin have been synthesized from cephalexin and various chemicals, the synthesized oxadaizole derivatives reacted with acryloyl chloride to give acryl monomers then polymerized to prepare the target polymers. The structure of synthesized compounds have been characterized and confirmed by FT-IR and NMR spectral studies. In-vitro antibacterial activity of some synthesized compounds were tested against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and showed good activity against all culture.
