Praise be to Allaah, and His salutations be upon the Imam of the prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions. This research is entitled "Verses from Surat al-Maidah, which contains "what Allaah loves." The research examined and analyzed the verses that mentioned "what Allah loves," and divided them into three chapters: The first Chapter includes the following verse of the Quran: Because of their breaking their pledge, We cursed them, and made their hearts hard. They twist the words out of their context, and they disregarded some of what they were reminded of. You will always witness deceit from them, except for a few of them. But pardon them, and overlook. God loves the doers of good. (al-Ma'idah – 13) The second Chapter includes this Quranic verse: Listeners to falsehoods, eaters of illicit earnings. If they come to you, judge between them, or turn away from them. If you turn away from them, they will not harm you in the least. But if you judge, judge between them equitably. God loves the equitable. (al-Ma'idah – 42) The third Chapter consists of this verse from the Qur'an: Those who believe and do righteous deeds will not be blamed for what they may have eaten, provided they obey, and believe, and do good deeds, then maintain piety and faith, then remain righteous and charitable. God loves the charitable. (al-Ma'idah – 93) I introduced the Surah (al-Ma'idah), explained the reasons behind its naming, its features, the focus of its topics, and the cause of revelation of the verses that I chose. I also explained the important statements of the scholars concerning these verses, the summarized meaning, and the lessons and examples learned. It turns out from the research that Allaah has taken the pledge from this ummah to hear and obey the last and final Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He reminded us of taking a similar pledge from the nations closest to us in terms of history and geography, i.e., Jews and Christians, and explained what they did to break their pledge and His punishment on doing so. This is to make sure that we do not suffer from what they suffered from and let us be the nation that is the heir of the Prophet's inheritance by the purity of faith, the sincerity of intention, and adhering to the Book of Allah, may He be exalted.
