المستخلص: The present study aims at showing the significance of the ten continuous Quranic readings in explaining and clarifying Islamic laws related to women and their different family roles. This aim is achieved through dividing the significance of Quranic readings into: phonemic significance as exemplified in the role of short and long phonemes in clarifying meaning, morphological significance as seen in nominal and verbal phrases, and syntactic significance. The syntactic significance is manifested in three matters: the first is related to grammatical meanings on the word level as the role of inflectional diacritics in clarifying meaning; the second is related to the meaning of grammatical structures or the whole sentence as seen in the different styles of declaratives and negatives; the third is related to the different patterns of sentence structure as in the difference between singularity and duality. The study adopts a descriptive approach where the Ayahs referring to family laws regarding women in the ten continuous Quranic readings are collected; they are 20 Ayahs. Then these Quranic readings are classified according to the different family roles played by women. Afterwards, these Ayahs are analytically investigated. The study reaches a number of conclusions, most important of which are as follows: 1- Some of the Quranic readings complement each other in order to spotlight a certain Islamic family law 2- Diacritics play a key role in distinguishing linguistic meanings.
