|a تطرقت الدراسة إلى روابط بعض عرب الخليج ولا سيما أحلاف الهولة والنصور والعتوب وإلى نشأة أحلاف عرب الخليج قبل ثلاثة قرون وبيئتها الجغرافية والسياسية، وأثر المواقف السياسية والمصالح التجارية في روابطهم، وإلى أواصر القرابة في شطري الخليج الشرقي والغربي، كما أوضحت الدراسة ما كان لهذه العشائر من هجرات من الجزيرة العربية، وما كان لعرب الخليج من سيطرة على مقاليد الملاحة فيه عدة قرون، وأثرهم البارز في الثورة على بعض الأنظمة المتسلطة في المنطقة.

|b The study is concerned with the relationships between the Arabs of the Gulf, especially the confederations of the Houla, the Nusur and the Bani Utbah, and with the origins of the confederations of the Gulf Arabs three centuries ago. Attention is given to their geographic and political environment and to the effects of political positions and commercial interests on their relationships. In addition, ties of kinship on both sides of the Gulf are discussed. The study also considered the migrations of these tribes from the Arabian Peninsula, the control exercised by the Gulf Arabs over navigation in the waters of the Gulf for several centuries, and their outstanding impact on revolts against some hegemonic systems in the region.
