|a القصة القصيرة لون أدبي احتل مساحة ليست بالقليلة في الأدب العربي في العصر الحديث بشكل عام، وفي الأدب السعودي بشكل خاص، وكانت بدايات القصة السعودية القصيرة غير واضحة، تتأرجح بين القدم والحداثة، مثل مثيلاتها في معظم الدول العربية. وحسين علي حسين كاتب قصة الحواجز أحد كتاب الأدب السعودي، الذين استطاعوا أن يكون لهم بصمة في الأعمال القصصية؛ حيث اتضح عنده كثير من عناصر القصة الفنية، بالإضافة إلى اتجاهه نحو القضايا الاجتماعية التي فرضتها طبيعة العصر. وقد وجد الكاتب وغيره من كتاب القصة القصيرة مأربهم الذي استوعب قدراتهم، وترجمها إلى عمل أدبي، من خلال كتابة القصة القصيرة باعتبار أن دورها لا يقل عن دور أي عمل أدبي، وتبرز أهمية القصة القصيرة من خلال شكلها ومضمونها؛ حيث تحاول الكشف عن حقيقة الحياة والعصر والإنسان. ويهدف البحث إلى: معرفة اتجاه القصة القصيرة في الأدب السعودي عند حسين علي حسين من خلال قصته، مع محاولة إبراز أهم خصائصها الفنية والحمالة. وقد اتبع البحث المنهج التحليلي الوصفي، الذي يقوم على تحليل ووصف النص القصصي، وجعل النص الإبداعي أساسا لتكوين فكرة عن كاتب النص.

|b The short story is a literary genre that has a significant position in the modern Arabic literature in general and in Saudi literature in particular. The emergence of the Saudi short story as well as its counterparts in the Arab countries was unclear, swinging between originality and modernity. Hussein Ali Hussein in the current study is one of the Saudi novelists who could have their marks in Saudi storytelling. His work revealed many artistic characteristics of stories in addition to his attitude towards philosophical issues imposed by the nature of the time. Hussein and others Saudi novelists found in the short story an aspiration that fits their abilities and make them create their own works of art in the form of short stories. The short story is equal to any other literary work; it seeks to reveal the reality of life, age, and man. The aim of the research is to identify the direction of the short story in the Saudi literature by Hussein Ali Hussein through his story, while highlighting the most important artistic and aesthetic characteristics. The study adopted the analytical descriptive method that analyzes and describes narrative texts in attempt to portray the novelist.
