المستخلص: There are many interpretations of the phenomenon of illegal immigration in Egypt, the most important of which is the economic one, which is due to the deterioration of economic conditions from high rates of poverty, unemployment and inflation to increased living costs and weak future prospects for improvement. These factors are not separate from the political situation in Egypt, especially in terms of investments and areas of work for private enterprises, which are one of the means of creating jobs, as well as the working environment in the private sector and related low salaries and arbitrary working conditions, and narrowing the doors of employment. Government and associated possibilities of dishonesty. Looking at the causes of illegal immigration from Egypt and its implications and policies to confront it reveals the extent to which the economic and political dimensions of it overlap in such a way that the political economy is used to understand the phenomenon by answering a key question: How do public economic policies and political conditions drive the growth of the phenomenon of illegal immigration from Egypt?
