المستخلص: Corruption is considered one of the most serious phenomena that hinder economic development process and the achievement of inclusive growth. It is a complicated concept considering its reasons or its impacts. Africa is considered a clear example of corruption and how it affects its development. And that is why African governments recently include corruption mitigation as a part in their development strategies both on national level and also on continental level as appears in Africa 2063 agenda. This paper aims to analyze the corruption status in Africa and its main characteristics from a political economic perspective, i.e. identifies the consequences of corruption non wealth creation and distribution in Africa through analyzing its impact on inclusive growth. The paper concludes that corruption is a real hindrance to inclusive growth in Africa through its impact on income distribution, poverty rates and the effectiveness of economic policies: fiscal and monetary. The main recommendation of this paper is that since corruption is a complicated and multidimensional phenomenon, its mitigated strategy must also be comprehensive. The strategy in which economic, political and social dimensions are combined together to reduce the corruption level in Africa.
