|a سعت هذه الدراسة إلى توضيح أهمية دور المكتبات في تعزيز أهداف التنمية المستدامة وكذلك البحث في العلاقة ما بين أثر مكونات وأبعاد المشاركة المجتمعية ومستواها في التنمية المستدامة. حيث يسلط البحث الضوء على أداة مهمة من أدوات المشاركة المجتمعية، وهي المكتبة من حيث، نشأتها، دورها، والمشاكل والمعوقات التي تقف عائق أمام مشاركتها في تعزيز أهداف التنمية المستدامة. أما مشكلة البحث فقد نصت على (أن هناك ضعف في مشاركة بعض المكتبات المحلية التي تستهدف تنمية مجتمعاتها، مما يؤدي إلى وجود معوقات في تعزيز أهداف التنمية المستدامة بشكل كفوء وانعكاسه على تنمية المدينة واستدامتها)، إن من بين أهداف الدراسة هو بيان أهم المؤشرات التي يمكن من خلالها قياس دور مشاركة المكتبات في التنمية المستدامة في المجتمع، ولتحقيق أهداف البحث استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي والمنهج الإحصائي.

|b This study sought to clarify the importance of the role of libraries in promoting the goals of sustainable development, as well as research in the relationship between the impact of components and the dimensions of community participation and their level in sustainable development. Where the research highlights an important tool for community participation, which is the library in terms of its origin, role, problems and obstacles that hinder its participation in promoting sustainable development goals. Either the research problem has stated that (there is a weakness in the participation of some local libraries that target the development of their societies, which leads to the existence of obstacles in the efficient promotion of sustainable development goals and its reflection on the development and sustainability of the city), that among the objectives of the study is to indicate the most important indicators that can By measuring the role of libraries' participation in sustainable development in society, and to achieve the research goals, the researcher used the descriptive and statistical approaches.
