يتناول هذا البحث مفهوم المثقف في محاولة للاقتراب من فهم ما يحيط به من إشكالات منهجية ودلالية، من خلال أربعة عناوين تبدأ بسؤال من هو المثقف؟ فطرح مثل هذا السؤال كفيل بإثارة نقاش طويل قد لا ينتهي بسهولة، ذلك بسبب عدد من الاختلافات المعرفية والأيديولوجية. ومرورا بتتبع السياق التاريخي للمصطلح، وصولا لتعريف يتفق عليه أغلب من تناولوا مفهوم المثقف. أما ثاني العناوين فيتعلق بنماذج المثقف بدءا من تفصيلات غرامشي وتحديده الثنائي الشهير، مرورا بمحاولة التوفيق بين ما عرضه غرامشي وإضافات النقاد المعاصرون خصوصا من خلال الرواية العربية المعاصرة، إذ تأخذ تصنيفات المثقف بعدا أعمق حين يتم التركيز على فاعليته كمنتج للمعرفة ومتبن لموقف وبان لرؤيا، ومن هنا ظهرت تقسيمات بناء على العلاقة بالسلطة، فهناك مثقف تابع للسلطة وآخر ضد السلطة، أو يمكن التصنيف على أساس مثقف داخل السلطة وآخر خارج هذه السلطة. وثالث عناوين هذا البحث يعرض لقضية تنامت ضمن اتجاه ما بعد الحداثة تطالب بإعادة النظر في دور المثقف، خطابه وفاعليته، أفكاره ومشاريعه، وانقسمت الآراء بين من يدعو لجعل دوره معرفيا، بديلا لدور الناقد الاجتماعي صاحب رؤى التغيير، وآخر يصدح بدعوات تمس وجود المثقف ذاته، لتقول بنهاية المثقف أو موته، وهذه القضية (موت المثقف) هي التي شغلت العنوان الرابع من هذه الدراسة.
This research deals with the concept of the intellectual in the process of approaching the understanding of the surrounding problems of methodology and semantics. Through 4 addresses start with the question of who is the intellectual? Such a question raises a long debate that may not end easily because of a number of cognitive and ideological differences. By tracing the historical context of the term to an agreed definition. And the third title of this study presents a growing issue with the postmodernist movement demanding reconsideration of the role of the intellectual and his speech and effectiveness and ideas and projects. And divided opinions between those who call to make his role as an alternative to the role of the social critic with visions of change, and another authorizes calls affecting the presence of the same intellectual, saying the end of the intellectual or his death and this case is the fourth title of this study.
