يطرح البحث مسألة محاولة التجديد في التراث عبر مقابلته بالحداثة، من خلال التحليل والنقد والتقويم او تقديم لبدائل للنهوض بالأمة، حيث تستوقفنا آراء كل من طه عبد الرحمان ومحمد أركون اللذان تميزا بنظرتهما المتطابقتين في الموضوع من خلال اختلاف المنهج والأدوات التي لجا إليها كل منهما. فمحمد أركون الذي لجا إلى مجموعة من المناهج الحديثة، منها علم اللسانيات والسيميائيات والدلالات وعلم النفس التاريخي، وعلم الاجتماع الحديث، من أجل تنفيذ مشروعه في نقد العقل الإسلامي، أما طه عبد الحمان الذي عمد إلى طح تأسيس الحداثة الإسلامية من خلال فقه الفلسفة وتحرير القول الفلسفي، ثم النقد الأخلاقي للحداثة الغربية، وإعادة قراءة التراث بأدوات منهجية حديثة، وسنحاول الوقوف على آرائهما من خلال الإجابة على الاشكال التالي: - ما هي الآليات المنهجية التي اعتمدها كل من طه عبد الرحمان ومحمد أركون في نقد التراث وتحديد مخارج الحداثة العربية الإسلامية؟
This research deal with the issue of renewing the heritage by linking it with modernity through criticizing evaluating or offering alternatives for the notion advancement in which we deal with the iews of Taha Abdel-Rahman and Mohammed Arkoun, who were distinguished by their identical views on the subject through varying methods and tools used by each of them. In one hand Mohammed Arkoun has resorted to a range of modern methods, including linguistics, semiotics, semantics and historical psychology and modern sociology in order to implement his criticisms his project in criticizing the Islamic mind. In the other hand Taha Abdel-Rahman who raised the foundation of Islamic modernity through Jurisprudence philosophy and the liberation of philosophical words, then the moral criticism of Western modernity, and the re-reading of heritage with modern methodological tools. We will try to find out what they have to say by answering the following problematic. - What are the methodological mechanisms adopted by Taha Abdul Rahman and Mohammad Arkun in the criticism of the heritage and the identification of Islamic Arab modernism exits?
