The study has focused on the study of the power struggle in Ethiopia, and it has dealt with the general framework of the nature of the variation in the size of the political influences and interventions that defined the political map of the power struggle, whereas that period saw the beginning of the European cooperation to take over Ethiopia, which was one of the main factors that fueled the competition over power in Ethiopia during the period 1855-1930. The importance of this study is due to several reasons, the most important ones were the historical extension of the power struggle in Ethiopia, which was the result of accumulation of the political, economic and social conditions since the late 18th century until the end of the chaos era in 1855, the seriousness of the conflict between the Ethiopian states, and the volume of European interventions over Ethiopia as colonial ambitions. The beginning of this study is the year of 1855, the year in which Tewodros II seized the power and restored the central state of Ethiopia, and the end of the study is the year of 1930, the end of the reign of Empress Zewditu, the last empress in the world. The study adopted the historical descriptive analytical method, which helped to analyze the political situations that led to that conflict within the historical context of events. The researcher has used many Arabic and foreign references and sources, which contributed to enrich the undertaken study with valuable information, and they can be seen in the reference list at the end of the study.
