|b This research discusses the character of jealousy; a character which is a distinctive feature of beliefs and honors. Also, people are polarized in their degree of jealousy between an extremist whose frivolous jealousy over religion may push him to prohibit almost everything without any substantial proof and a nonchalant person who does not bear any strain of jealousy and would not feel concerned even if God is being blasphemed. There are two groups regarding jealousy over honors also, some will be overzealous in their attempt to safeguard their honor and reputation, and some would not move an inch because their feelings for jealousy have been subdued. The texts of the Noble Sunnah attributed jealousy to Allah, His Messenger, and the believers. Jealousy was also divided by the divine texts into praiseworthy jealousy and condemned jealousy. This research aims to explicate the concept of jealousy; especially when it is being attributed to Allah and His Messenger, the research also discusses its circumstances and its manifestations in both divisions.

|a يتحدث هذا البحث عن خلق الغيرة؛ حيث إن هذا الخلق يختص بالعقائد والأعراض، ويتباين الناس في درجة الغيرة عندهم، فمتشدد في غيرته على الدين، يكاد يحرم كل شيء من غير بينة ولا برهان، ومقصر لا يغار حتى لو شتم الإله، وهم كذلك أيضا فريقان في غيرتهم على الأعراض، فمنهم الذي يثور على عرضه حمية، ومنهم من لا يحرك ساكنا قد تبلدت مشاعر الغيرة عنده، وقد نسبت نصوص السنة المشرفة الغيرة إلى الله ورسوله والمؤمنين، وقسمت الغيرة إلى محمودة ومذمومة، فجاء هذا البحث ليبين مفهوم الغيرة: خاصة حين تنسب إلى الله ورسوله، ويعرض لحالاتها وصورها في القسمين.
