المستخلص: El presente trabajo resalta la imagen del musulmán en la literatura española antes y después del siglo XIX, en este sentido hemos seleccionado algunas obras literarias como testimonios de la visión española hacia el hombre musulmán. Se puede notar obviamente en algunas obras el musulmán aparece como valiente y noble, mientras en otras aparece como cobarde y bárbaro según la tendencia y el grado del extremismo del autor. El presente estudio se trata de un estudio diacrónico cuya documentación ha sido repartida a dos etapas antes y después del siglo XIX: en cuanto a la etapa que precedió el siglo XIX hemos contado con obras como El Abencerraje, Las Guerras civiles de Granada, el Poema del Cid y las obras de Alfonso X, el Sabio mientras la segunda abarca algunas obras de escritores españoles como Manuel Fernández y Gonzáles, Pedro Antonio de Alarcón y Ramón Ortega y Frías.

في هذا العمل نسلط الضوء على صورة الشخصية العربية المسلمة في نماذج من الأدب القديم والمعاصر أي ما سبق القرن التاسع عشر وما تلاه. وبهذا الصدد فقد اخترنا بعض الأعمال الأدبية كشهادات عن تلك الرؤية الإسبانية تجاه الرجل المسلم، حيث يظهر الرجل المسلم عند بعض الكتاب شجاعا ونبيلا، بينما يظهر عند آخرين جبانا وبربريا وفقا لميل ودرجة تطرف المؤلف. توزعت الأعمال الأدبية المختارة كما أسلفنا على فترتين تضمنت الفترة الأولى أعمال مثل رواية ابن سراج، والحروب الأهلية في غرناطة، والشعر ديل سيد وأعمال ألفونسو العاشر وال سابيو، بينما يضم الثاني بعض الأعمال التي قام بها كتاب إسبان مثل مانويل فرنانديزي جونزاليس وبيدرو أنطونيو دي ألاركون ورامون أورتيغا إي فرياس.

The present highlights the image of the Muslim in Spanish literature before and after the nineteenth century, in this sense we have selected some literary works as testimonies of the Spanish vision towards the Muslim man. Obviously, in some works the Muslim appears as brave and noble, while in others he appears as a coward and barbarian according to the tendency and degree of extremism of the author. This study is a diachronic study whose documentation has been distributed to two stages before and after the nineteenth century: as for the stage that preceded the nineteenth century we have had works such as El Abencerraje, The Civil Wars of Granada, the Poem del Cid and the works of Alfonso X, El Sabio while the second includes some works by Spanish writers such as Manuel Fernández y Gonzáles, Pedro Antonio de Alarcón and Ramón Ortega y Frías.
