المستخلص: الوطنية غريزة فطرية جبل عليها الإنسان بسبب حبه وتعلقه بالوطن. فقد عبر الشعراء منذ العصر الجاهلي عن صدق أحاسيسهم إزاء الوطن من خلال حنينهم إلى الديار والبكاء على الآثار والأطلال. كان الوطن عبر عصور متلاحقة يطلق على كافة البلاد العربية بصورة عامة ولم يكن لمفهوم الوطن عند العرب دلالة خاصة وذلك لأن حياتهم كانت تتميز بالترحال وعدم الاستقرار في مكان ما. قد تطور مفهوم الوطن شيئا فشيئا إلى أن اكتسب دلالة خاصة في العصر المعاصر حيث يكون الوطن هو مسقط رأس الإنسان ومكان نشأته. ومن هنا نري أن ظاهرة الوطنية ظهرت بشكل أوضح في الشعر العربي المعاصر. لقد كانت الوطنية من أهم الأغراض الشعرية في الشعر العربي ونالت عناية بالغة من قبل الشعراء. إن موضوع حب الوطن قد نال تجسيداً شعرياً واضحاً في الأدب العربي في مصر وكان "رفاعة الطهطاوي" رائد الوطنية في مصر وقد كرس شعره على الظاهرة الوطنية ليعبر عن تجربة نفسية وشعورية صادقة. كانت الوطنية عند الطهطاوي تنبع من مشاعره الجياشة تجاه الوطن وبعض أفكاره الجديدة التي استمدها من الغرب. بناء على أهمية الوطنية في العصر الراهن لقد حرصنا كل الحرص بقدر ما كان ممكنا لنا إلى استظهار ملامح الوطنية في ديوان هذا الشاعر وفقا للمنهج الوصفي-التحليلي الذي يعتمد على تحليل النص الشعري عند الشاعر. وفي نهاية المطاف توصلنا إلى أن الوطنية ظهرت في أشعار الطهطاوي بأشكال شتي وتمثلت في الحنين إلى الوطن والذكريات الماضية، الإشادة بحب الأوطان، الترنم بحب مصر، التغني بمعالم الوطن، الحث على المقاومة أمام العنف والكفاح في سبيل الذب عن الوطن.
