من المتفق عليه: أن الوعي بالتاريخ، وتفهم السنن الكونية والاجتماعية مطلب هام؛ ليمارس الإنسان دوره الحضاري، ويؤدي رسالته كما جاءت في الإسلام خاتم الرسالات، وهذا ما أشار إليه وحث عليه القرآن الكريم. وأمتنا وهي تعيش مأزقا حضاريا-حيث لم تعد إسهاماتها بقدر رسالتها-يلزمها تأصيل الوعي بالتاريخ، ويلزمها معرفة السنن التي تحكم الازدهار والانكسار؛ ليتسنى لها العودة من جديد إلى ريادة حضارية سجلها تاريخ الفكر الإنساني، وما كانت إلا تطبيقا لفهم المسلمين للسنن الإلهية في قيام الحضارات، فاهتمامهم بالعلم وهو فريضة، وبالعمل وهو عبادة، وبالوقت وهو حياة، تجربة ينبغي أن نمعن النظر فيها، حتى تكون محاولتنا للخروج من مأزقنا منطلقة من ثوابتنا، ومن تجارب بشرية وثيقة الصلة بنا، لا نقلا لتجارب تختلف معنا منطلقا وغاية. وقد حفلت كتب السنة بالحديث عن الزمن والأيام والشهور في سياقات تشريعية، مثل الحداد على الزوج ونحوه، وسياقات ترغيبيه في العبادة، وكذا الإشارة إلى الزمن ومستقبل السلوك فيه قربا من الدين أو بعدا. والنتيجة المرجوة من بحثنا عن القرآن وتنمية الوعي بالتاريخ هي أن نشعر بقيمة الزمن، وأن ينعكس هذا الشعور على سلوكنا؛ حتى لا يهدر الزمن ونتخلف عن ركب الحضارة بإهداره، باعتباره هو الحياة، وهو إطار العمل والجهد الذي ينبغي أن يبذل لتغيير الواقع إلى الأمثل والأفضل.
It is universally acknowledged that awareness of history and understanding natural and social norms are essential requirements for man to practice his cultural role and perform his mission as shown by the religion of Islam the Final heavenly revelation. This is exactly what the Holy Quran urged people to adhere to, while our Ummah is passing through a critical cultural situation. as its contributions are far less than they should be. The Ummah must return to its history for more awareness and more knowledge of norms that measure prosperity and adversity, to be able to return again to leadership position recorded in the book of human history and thought. This past glory came as a result to the Muslims application of heavenly norms on which civilization is founded. They should have deep interest in science which is a must, care for work which is part of worship and give attention to time which is life. This experiment is worthy to review and study so as to be able to overcome the awkward situation relying on our firm principles and human experiences relevant to ours rather than copying other nations experiences which contradict our beliefs and traditions. Books of Sunna are full of texts dealing with time, days and months as in legislative contexts, as in case of a wife’s mourning period at the death of her husband and also in contexts urging to perform acts of worship. There is reference to time and future conduct in relation to religion adherance or negligence. The desired end from our research in the Holy Quran and developing awareness of history is to feel the value of time. This feeling should be reflected on our behavior so that time should not be wasted which may result of our lagging behind the procession of civilization as time is life and the frame work of efforts exerted to change realities of life into the best and optimal.
