المستخلص: القدس قلب العرب النابض، عاصمة فلسطين، مهد السيد المسيح عليه السلام، ومسرى النبي محمد صلى الله عليه آله وسلم، أولى القبلتين، وثالث الحرمين. حظيت القدس باهتمام الشعراء العرب، في أقطار الوطن العربي كله، حتى في المهجر، فنظم الشعراء أبهى القصائد في التغني بها، والدفاع عنها، وتأكيد الأمل في خلاصها من أذى العدوان الصهيوني. ولقد حملت معظم القصائد معاني مشتركة، من أبرزها: فضح شراسة العدو الصهيوني في إلحاقـه الأذى بالشعب العربي في فلسطين واحتلاله الأرض تصوير مأسي الشعب العربي في فلسطين وما لحق به من مجازر وتهجير واحتلال لأرضه. تمجيد البطولات والإشادة بالشهداء وتصوير صمود الشعب في الأرض وتمسكه بها. كشف زيف الصهيونية وإدانة عدوانيتها وفضح أساليبها في ادعاءاتها الباطلة، والإشارة إلى قدوم الصهاينة من أصقاع الأرض لصنع كيان. التنديد بتقصير العرب في العمل على تحرير القدس والدفاع عن فلسطين والدعوة إلى اتحادهم. التنديد ببعض الحكام العرب لتقصيرهم في الدفاع عن الحق، والإشادة ببعضهم الآخر لإخلاصهم في العمل على إنقاذ القدس والدفاع عن الشعب العربي في فلسطين. الوعي بأن الحق لن يعود إلا بالقوة وبنضال الشعب وتمجيد الأعمال الفدائية والانتفاضات الشعبية، والأمل بانتفاضة الشعب العربي كله في أقطاره كافة للعمل على تحقيق خلاص القدس.
