|a كاد السيد جواد العاملي النجفي (1226/ 1811) أن يكون من كبار الفقهاء والعلماء المتتبعين لدقائق المسائل الفقهية، ومن تمثلات منهجه ما أودعه في كتاب "مفتاح الكرامة في شرح قواعد العلامة"؛ كما إنه من القليلين الذين وقفوا في وجه الهجمات الوهابية على النجف بين 1801- 1811، ولم تحد وقفته المتابعة الميدانية، والمشاركة الفعلية، وإعادة التنظيمات على سور المدينة، بل قاد الاتجاه الفكري وجادل العلماء والوجهاء الذين غادروا المدينة أو حاولوا، خوفا على مصالحهم وذويهم، لذا صنف رسالة الرباط أو الذب عن النجف في ثلاثة محاور: الأول- إن النجف ثغر. الثاني- إن به قوما مسلمين، يخاف هجوم العدو عليهم. الثالث- فيها مرقد أمير المؤمنين، وعز الإسلام والمسلمين، وموضع ناموس الدين.

|b Alseid Jawad Al-Amily (1226/1811) could be considered one of the grand religious scholars who had thwarted the Wahaby offensive against Al-Najaf 1801-1811. His withstand did not limit his field pursuance, effectual participation, reorganisation of the town fence defences only, but then he had led the ideological direction and had been arguing with the scholars and the elite who tried to depart or had departed the town, fearing over their own interests and the safety of their families. So, he classified the resistance or defending Al-Najaf under three points: firstly, Al-Najaf is a confrontation frontline with the enemy. Secondly, Muslim folk live in it that the enemy could attack them. Thirdly, Al-Najaf contains the shrine of the prince of believers, the honour of Islam and Muslims, the soul and conscience of religion.
