المستخلص: Western scholars studied and analyzed most of the characters at the beginning of the age of Islam, that has an effective role in the history of Musilms' life, by gathering information in many possible ways. Scholars did not stop at this point, they published, translated and classified the information gathered in terms of origin and development. There were a lots of characters that represented a turning point in Islam. One of these important characters is Imam Mohammed bin Ali bin AL Hussein bin Ali bin Abi Talib (PBUH). He is the grandson of the prophet Mohammed. During the age of the Umawya state, he was known as "Baqir Al alam" among his peers. Therefore, the abovementioned views is discussed and analyzed analytically in this study. The research is consist of two sections, the first one is entitled "Imam Mohammed Al Baqir in the Western system" which has a number of important demands for instance,: 1- His status and how the scholars described him. 2- Imam and the political condition. The second section is entitled " Imam Al Baqir and his scientific efforts" that has demands which are: 1- His role in founding Ahl al Bayat school. 2- The pioneer in Al Hadith notation. 3- His efforts in developing theology
