لم تحظ المكتبة العربية والإسلامية بدراسة مفصلة عن حياة الإمام الباقر عليه السلام الذي أرسى من المؤسسين في التكوين الحضاري لهذه الأمة، وليس من الوفاء أن نهمل حياة عظمائنا، في حين إن الأمم الحية قد عنيت بتخليد عظمائها والإشادة بهم. يقول الكاتب المصري عباس محمود العقاد: إن الأوربيين قد وجدوا من علمائهم من يشيد بعظمائهم، ويستقصي نواحي مجدهم، بل قد دعتهم العصبية أحيانا أن يتزايدوا في نواحي هذه العظمة، ويعملوا الخيال في تبرير العيب وتكميل النقص واندفاعا للنفس وإثارة لطلب الكمال، أما نحن فقد كان بيننا المصطفى محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وبين عظمائنا سدود وحواجز حالت بين شبابنا والاستفادة منهم. ومن هم أحق بالإشادة من أئمة أهل البيت عليهم السلام لاسيما وإمامنا العظيم محمد بن علي الباقر عليه السلام الذي يعد أبرز العباقرة والقادة الطليعيين في العالم، وفي هذه الأمة في زمانه، لذلك برزت أهمية الدراسة من خلال ما قام به من رفد الساحة الإسلامية بالعديد من المنجزات رغم المضايقات التي تعرض لها من حكام الجور في عصره. وقد جرى الاطلاع على عدد من المصادر التاريخية ذات العلاقة بالدراسة ومحاولة تكييفها للاستفادة منها بالمحاور الرئيسية للدراسة بما يحقق الهدف المنشود منها وعلى المستويين الفردي والأمة الإسلامية، وقد خرجت الدراسة بجملة من الدروس المستنبطة لعل من أبرزها تدخل الامام الباقر عليه السلام في رسم السياسة المالية للدولة الإسلامية من خلال قيامه باتخاذ الإجراءات التي من شأنها أن تؤدي باستقلالية النقد وتحريره من السيطرة الأجنبية المرتبطة بالإمبراطورية الرومانية، وكذلك لابد من الاستفادة من سيرته العطرة لتكون لنا نبراسا ومنهاجا في حياتنا اليومية لمقارعة الظلم والاستبداد تحقيقا لما فيه صلاح البشرية للدنيا والآخرة.

Those who deserve to indicates from the Imams (pace be upon him) particularly oust greatness prophet Mohammad bin Ali AL-Baqer (pace be upon him) who is the most prominent genius and leaders in the world in this nation at his time. So that why the importance of study has been raised from what he did by provide the Islamic square (or yard) by many achievements despite the harassment, which he suff- sered from by the rulers of injustice in his time. And it has been took a look on many historical sources that have a relation to the subject, and attempt the adjust to take advantage from it by a major focus of the study, to achieve the goal on the (hub) two, in dividable level and the Islamic nation. The studying has come out with a lot of derived lessons, perhaps from the most prominent lesson is when Imam Mohammad AL-Baqer involved in, drawing the state's financial policy to the Islamic state, by taking measures that from the possible it can lead the independency of the person and release him from the foreign control in the Roman Empire. Finally it is necessary to take advantage from his fragrant biography to be a guide and process in our daily life, to fight the injustice and despotism to achieve human goodness in life and after life.
