المستخلص: In spite of the importance of the studies of character and its struggle with itself and other individuals which has continued for more than one century and has had an impact on the scientific research and the general human behaviour, theatre, which regards as apart of this scientific and human system, has affected and been affected by those studies. The theory of Abraham Maslow (1908- 1970) is one of the theories which researches the motives of the character in order to achieve its seven needs in accordance with their progressive gradation as regards priority and strength of influence. The present study attempts to answer the question), Does Maslow's theory represent in the struggle of characters in the Iraqi theatrical speech?) in presenting the problem after believing in the significance of such a study which observes the behavior of the character and the nature of its needs via the fight of the dramatical characters because it is the mirror of the Iraqi reality. As concerns the theoretical side (the second chapter) to the motivation and conflicts which represents a reflection participate to the psychosis of massels from the one and the other on the other of this theory in the theatrical struggle which causes (the theoretical framework) to lead to significant indicators. (The third chapter) handles the procedures in which the analysis of three theatrical shows belonging temporally to the past five years,2010-2015, is completed. The final chapter demonstrates the important result and conclusions. The researcher reaches at the fact that Maslow is interested in the human needs in natural circumstances but he doesn't dig deep in his theory to reveal the human sufferings and struggle caused by disasters, wars, and the domination of controlled and frightening. And this is the great gap between his hypothesis and the human reality in hard situations this is confirmed by the analysis of theatrical performances.

على الرغم من أهمية دراسة الشخصية وصراعها مع ذاتها والآخرين، والتي مر عليها أكثر من قرن، وانعكاس ذلك على البحث العلمي والسلوك الإنساني العام. والمسرح جزء من هذه المنظومة العلمية والإنسانية أثر وتأثر بتلك الدراسات. ونظرية إبراهام ماسلو واحدة من النظريات التي بحثت في دوافع الشخصية لتحقيق حاجاتها السبعة حسب تدرجها التصاعدي من حيث الأولوية وشدة التأثير، فجاءت هذه الدراسة لتجيب عن التساؤل (هل تتمثل نظرية ماسلو في صراع الشخصيات بالخطاب المسرحي العراقي؟) في طرح المشكلة بعد الاعتقاد بأهمية مثل هذه الدراسة التي تلاحظ سلوك الشخصية وطبيعة حاجاتها من خلال صراع الشخصيات الدرامية لأنها مرآة الواقع العراقي. لذا تعرض في الاطار النظري (الفصل الثاني) إلى الدافعية والصراعات التي تشكل انعكاس تشاركي لتنظيرات ماسلو النفسية من جهة والمسرحية من جهة أخرى، والذي أفضى (الاطار النظري) إلى ما أسفر عنه من مؤشرات. فيما تضمن الفصل الثالث (الإجراءات) التي تم فيها التحليل لثلاث من العروض المسرحية والتي تنتمي زمانيا إلى الخمس سنوات من (2010-2015) فيما اختتمت الدراسة بالفصل الرابع التي تؤشر أهم النتائج والاستنتاجات مثل: اهتمام ماسلو بحاجات الإنسان في ظروف طبيعية إلا أنه لم يتعمق في نظريته إلى معاناة الإنسان وصراعه التي تسببها الكوارث والحروب وهيمنة الترهيب والتخويف المنظم فكانت هناك مسافة شاسعة تفصل بين طروحاته وواقع الإنسان في الظروف القاهرة وهذا ما أكده التحليل للعروض المسرحية.
