Its importance lies not only in its representation of historical experiences, but also in its presence as a political force in contemporary society. Islam is presented as a holistic and inclusive system. Between religion and the state, here comes the contribution of Burhan Ghalioun and his understanding of the subject of religion and politics, which framed it in the concept of modernizing religion and modernizing the political practice of religion, both in understanding the relationship of Islam to democracy or in relation to social power.
