|a إن الحديث عن الصورية في علاقتها بالمنطق؛ إنما يردها بعض المناطقة -خاصة الرياضيين منهم – إلى الرياضيات. إذ يرون أن المنطق التقليدي إنما اكتسب طابعه الصوري فقط لما ارتبط بالرياضيات فنشأ ما يعرف اليوم بالمنطق الرياضي. غير أن لوكاشفتش راح يثبت في كتابه "نظرية القياس الأرسطية" فساد هذا الرأي مدرجا مثالاً من التحليلات الأولى يستعمل فيه أرسطو الرمز. مبرزا في ذات الوقت معرفة أرسطو بالثوابت والمتغيرات وأهميتهما دون ذكر ذالك. يظهر هذا في تمييز أرسطو بين اسم العلم واسم المحمول. واهتمام المدرسة الرواقية بالصور الخمسة للقياس الشرطي التي أفادت في معرفة الثوابت وطرق حسابها وفق نسق استنباطي ينطلق من لا معرفات النسق ومن قواعد إنتاجه.

At the same time, Aristotle knew constants and variables and their significations without mentioning it. This is shown in Aristotle's distinction between the name of the proper name and the predicate name. And the interest of the school stoicism in the five images of the conditional logic, which benefited in the knowledge of the constants and methods of computation in the form of a deductive approach stems from the parameters of pattern and its production bases.
