المستخلص: The importance of evaluating the joint performance of government institutions in the implementation of joint projects is particularly important with the application of Benchmarking, division of work, continuous evaluation and adherence to the standards set during the planning and study of the project and after the implementation of the project and evaluation of the results. The objectives of the study can be summarized in the following points: 1. To define the importance of the method of Benchmarking and its applicability to joint projects between government service institutions in Egypt. 2. Limiting the main determinants that impede the implementation of joint projects between government service institutions in Egypt. Conclusion: The government institutions are concerned with applying the Benchmarking on their projects based on an external criterion, but not applying the internal Benchmarking on their internal departments. It is limited to the internal evaluation based on the objectives that were achieved only without a criterion for implementing the work within the institution
