المستخلص: Given the researcher’s totally awareness of the importance of studying the Egyptian theatre in a very important and remarkably effective period in its history, this period however has not got sufficient luck to be considered by scientific studies despite being overwhelmed by much mystery and ambiguity. This study significance is crystallized in studying the stereotypical character and how the tale or narration in Egyptian theatre has developed by taking “the barbarian” character as an example for it throughout studying a purposed sample of two important writers: “Ameen Sedky” and “Badeih Khairy”, counting in this on the analytical-descriptive (qualitative) method. Study Questions: The main question: What is the stereotypical character? And how the tale transform occurs in the Egyptian theatre using Osman Abdel Basit as an example? From this major inquiry, the following two sub¬questions are derived: - What are the mechanisms of sense of humor produced by the character of “Osman Abdel Basit” in the Egyptian theatre? - What are the most important issues handled by Al- Kassar theatre? The study seeks through answering its questions to check validity of some of these hypotheses: and professional dimension with this variable. For the years of experience variable, there were statistically significant differences in the psychological and social dimensions in favor of the (15 years to less than 20) years old group, and no statistically significant differences for this variable in respect to the emotional and the professional dimension. The study also revealed no statistically significant differences for the field of specialization and sex with the psychological attainment variable. For the psychological stress coping methods, there were statistically significant differences in the cognitive reconstruction to the age variable in favor of the (45 years to 55 or less) years old group and to the years of experience in favor of the (20 years to 30 or less) years group. There were no statistically significant differences to the methods of coping with psychological stress with respect to different academic levels, marital states and sex.
