المستخلص: ينطلق هذا البحث من المعنى اللغوي للتطرف، والذي حدده بالبعد والنهاية عن الوسط، والذى يدلل على أن في كل فرضية أو نظرية، وفي كل ثابت أو متغير تختلف فيها الأنظار والمواقف في ثلاثة محاور رئيسة، وهي طرفان متناهيان ووسط معتدل، والذي من صفاته الثبوت والاستقرار والاعتدال في الفكر والسلوك، وذلك بتبني الإيجابيات في الطرفين، ونبذ سلبياتهما، وبازدياد المسافة عن الوسط تزداد المواقف والاتجاهات سلبا واضطرابا؛ لكونها فقدت بهذا الابتعاد وسطيتها إلى أن تصل إلى نهاية الأطراف المتقابلة، وهي بذلك تكون المعادلة النظرية إلى تفترض أن لكل اتجاه فكري أو سلوكي طرفان ووسط، ومن الأطراف ينشأ التطرف في المواقف السلبية ازديادا أو نقصانا بحسب ما بينه وبين الوسط من مسافة، فالقسمة في هذه المعادلة ثلاثية إلا أن السلبيات في اليسار المتطرف، وما يقابلها من سلبيات في اليمين المتطرف سيتولد عنهما طرفا رابعا خارجا عن هذه المعادلة؛ لكونه يرفض جميع محاورها جملة وتفصيلا، فهو ينظر إلى الوسط بعين الاتهام والتخاذل، وإلى الطرفين المتقابلين بعين السلبيات والمفاسد، وهنا تكمن خطورة هذا النوع وضرره الكبير، وهذا ما سيحاول الباحث أثباته في ثنايا هذه الأوراق.
