This study was conducted to prove the pathogenicity of some fungal species on seeds of green beans and the possible isolation of some other fungal species from the nature that can counteract this pathogenic effects. The results proved the pathogenic effects of Sclerotinia_sclerotiorum Sclerotinia minor and Rhizoctoni solani green beans by the above mentioned fungi through fungal suspension and agar discs as soil or seed treatment. The percentages of infection were 90, 86 and 100% respectively. Some fungi were isolated from soil, tomato fruits and cumin seeds and their effectiveness as biological control agents were assessed against the pathogenic fungi and on their ability to produce Sclerotia, using double culture technique as well as fungal culture filtrates. The results proved that some of the isolated fungi were highly effective against the fore mentioned pathogenic fungi except Rhizoctoni solani which seems to be more resistant to control.
