كان هذا البحث في موضوع عن علمي القراءات، والتجويد من حيث الدراسة الموازنة بينهما، وقد قمت فيه بالتعريف أولا بعلمي القراءات والتجويد لغة واصطلاحا، ثم نشأتهما، وأهم المؤلفات فيهما، وبعد ذلك عرجت إلي بيان أوجه الاتفاق وأوجه الاختلاف بينهما، فقد توصلت إلى أنهما ليسا علما واحدا، رغم مظنة أنهما علم واحد؛ للتشابه والتداخل الشديد بينهما، فإنهما يختلفان منهجا وموضوعا، ولكنهما ينفقان في مواضع أخرى، مثل الهدف الذي يسعى إليه كلاهما، ألا وهو خدمة النص القرآني، وقراءته على الوجه الصحيح الذي أراده الله -تعالى- له. وأخيرا بينت حكم الأخذ بكل منهما، هل هو واجب؟ أم فرض؟ أم غير ذلك، فعلم القراءات فرض كفاية للحفاظ على تعلم القرآن الكريم وتعليمه، وكذلك علم التجويد على رأي المتأخرين من علماء القراءات والتجويد.
The research focuses on the study of Qur'anic readings and its phonetic rules of recitation, as well as the points of similarity and difference. The study elaborates on the linguistic and terminological definition of Qur'anic readings and recitation, their emergence, and influential literature. Furthermore, the research delves into points of similarity and difference, concluding that both are not one science. Despite their close resemblance and overlapping, both are different in approach and theme. On the other hand, they share common points such as their purpose, i.e., the service of Qur'anic text, and its correct reading. Finally, the study illustrates judgment concerning introduction of Qur'anic readings and recitation. Is it required? or obligatory? or otherwise? Science of Qur'anic readings is a collective duty in order to preserve the learning of holy Quran and its teachings as well as Qur'anic recitation, according to late scholars of Qur'anic readings and recitation.
