المستخلص: Frantz Fanon was born on July 20th 1925 in Fort-de-France, Martinique, and died on December 6th 1961 in the land of Algeria, so he never saw the independent Algeria for which he fought and where he decided to die. He got to know Algeria for the first time in 1944 during his officer›s training in Bejaia. He was recruited by the French armed forces and was decorated as a war wounded soldier for his bravery, then brought back to Martinique, his island of birth which he would soon leave for the city of Lyon to study medicine. This article revisits Frantz Fanon›s work in the form of a glossary in order to encompass the activist›s and the writer›s thinking and present it in a didactic way. It will present the man, the activist and the writer as well as his thinking in the conditions which presided over its genesis o sociolinguistic situations of adductive contact and attrition.

Né le 25 juillet à Fort de France en Martinique et mort prématu-rément le 6 décembre 1961 en terre algérienne, Frantz Fanon n’aura pas connu l’Algérie indépendante, pour laquelle il s’est battu et choisit d’y mourir. Il connaîtra l’Algérie pour la première fois, lors de son voyage de formation d’officier en 1944 à Bejaia. Mobilisé pour rallier les Forces Françaises, il fut blessé de guerre et décoré pour sa bravoure puis rame¬né en Martinique, son île natale qu’il ne tarda pas à quitter pour aller à Lyon commencer des études de médecine. Cet article revisite l'oeuvre de Frantz Fanon et se présente sous forme d'un glossaire pour cerner la pensée de l'écrivain militant et la donner à voir d'une façon didactique. Il présentera l'homme, le mili¬tant et l'écrivain et sa pensée dans les conditions qui ont présidé à sa genèse.
