المستخلص: تهدف أطروحتنا إلي دراسة موضوع ومشكلة البحث عن الهوية في La Kahéna و Le chien d’Ulysse 1988 لسليم با تعاني شخصيات النصين من قلق وجودي عميق وتفكك ذاتي خطير ولهذا يبدلون خلال مغامراتهم كل مجهوداتهم من أجل استعادة وحدة الذات المشتتة حاونا إذن خلال دراستنا تحليل تقنيات الكتابة والسرد التي سمحت للكاتب أن يتني هذا البحث الذاتي يتألف علمنا من جزأين رئيسيين، إذ خللنا في الجزء الأول التطور الريزوماتي للبحث الذاتي، المركز الراوي والشخصيات. وأما في الجزء الثاني خصصناه لدراسة المساحات النصية، عقب هذه الدراسة، وصلنا إلي تحديد بعض خصائص الكتابة لسلم باشي.

The purpose of the current study is the quest for self-definition in Le chien d’Ulysse and La Kahéna by Salim Bachi, two novels which join the tragic context in Algeria since the October 1988 riots. Confronted to a profound existential anxiety and to a serious ontological decrease, the characters fight with all their might to reconstitute the unit of their fragmented “beings”and begin a ceaseless and polymorphic quest. We have tried, throughout our thesis, to report the textual work of this multipurpose quest by analyzing the writing techniques and the stylistic and narrative processes. Our work can be divided into two big sections. Our research tackles the analysis of the rhizomatique program fully deployed in the selected corpus as well as the study of the narrative categories : the status of both the narrator and the characters. The question on textual spaces will be tackled in the second part of this research. By the end of this study, we succeeded in identifying certain writing characteristics of the quest for self-definition in Salim Bachi works.

La presente etude a pour objet la quete de soi dans Le chien d’Ulysse et La Kahéna de Salim Bachi, deux romans qui s’inscrivent dans le contexte tragique que connait l’Algerie a partir des manifestations d’octobre 1988. En butte a une profonde angoisse existentielle et a une grave deperdition ontologique, les personnages luttent de toutes leurs forces pour reconstituer l’unite desagregee de leur ≪ etre ≫ et entament ainsi une re- conquete de soi incessante, polymorphe, sans cesse recommencee. Nous avons donc tente, tout au long de notre these, de rendre compte du travail textuel de cette quete polyvalente a travers l’analyse des techniques d ecriture et des procedes stylistiques et narratifs. Compose de deux grandes sections, notre travail s’ouvre sur l’analyse du programme rhizomatique a l’oeuvre dans notre corpus ainsi que sur l’etude des categories narratives : le statut du narrateur et des personnages. La question des espaces textuels fait l’objet de la seconde partie. Au terme de cette etude, nous avons degage quelques caracteristiques de l ecriture de la quete de soi chez Salim Bachi.
