المستخلص: تناول الباحث في دراسته الجهود الحاسوبية المكتوبة باللغة العربية لطلاب برامج الدراسات العليا في الجامعات العربية لخدمة اللغة العربية، فاستعرض نشأة الاتجاه الحاسوبي في الدراسات اللغوية العربية، وسعى إلى حصر جهود العاملين في حوسبة اللغة العربية (النظرية والتطبيقية) من اللغوبين التراثيين، واللسانيين الدارسين للنظريات الحديثة من خلال الأطروحات والرسائل العلمية لطلاب الدراسات العليا التي أسهمت في بلورة هذا الاتجاه؛ بهدف جمع ما تفرق من هذه الجهود هنا وهناك، أو ظل حبيس أرفف مكتبات الجامعات، كما عرض الباحث لأهم النتائج التي توصل إليها الباحثون؛ لتسهيل الاطلاع عليها والاستفادة منها، والسعي إلى البدء من حيث انتهى الآخرون، وعدم إهدار ما تم إنجازه. وخيرا يرجو الباحث أن يلفت هذا البحث أنظار طلاب الدراسات العليا والباحثين إلى ضرورة الاهتمام بقضية حوسبة اللغة العربية، لأنها أهم قضية تعترض سبيلنا عندما نحاول جعل العربية وعاء حاملا للتقنية، ولغة مواكبة للتطور الهائل الذي يشهده العالم.

The researcher in his studies explored the computerizing efforts put forward by students of post graduate studies in Arab universities to the service of Arabic language. He reviewed the genesis of the idea of Arabic Natural Language Processing studies. He also worked on bringing forth the combined efforts of those working on the Arabic Computational Linguistics (both theoretical and practical approach) from amongst classical linguists and other linguists who are studying modern theories via various research projects and through university theses written by students of post graduate studies which invariably contributed to the advancement of this idea i.e . computerization of Arabic language. He did so with the aim of bringing together what was sparse here and there of these efforts and others which are still stuck in the shelves of universities’ libraries. Likewise, the researcher presented the best of research conclusions which researchers had arrived at in order to facilitate the assessibility of those works and for its easy usage. And an effort to continue from where others stopped. So as to prevent the realized efforts in the previous studies from becoming waste. Lastly, the researcher hopes that this particular research work will call the attention of students of post graduate studies and other researchers to the importance of taking interest in the issue of computerization of Arabic language since it is the main issue that usually serves as clogs in the wheels whenever we want to work hard to make Arabic language a technology carrying vessel. Same way in the process to make it a language that can always thrive along with huge evolution which the world is experiencing presently.
