The Algerian War of Liberation (1954), which restored to the Algerian State-founded by Emir Abd el-Kader - its sovereignty, remains one of the great liberation movements that led to the spread of culture of liberation in Africa and all over the world. It will continue shining as a model for any resistance against the new types of colonization, since its principles were built on the fact that the independence of Algeria cannot be completed before the liberation of all the colonized regions in Africa. This objective has been promoted by the contribution of several liberation movements in Africa-Libya as a model- to run away the French policy of hegemony, especially through the support of some states in the region. Such a policy hinders any effort towards an effective solution of the Western Sahara issue, as a last colony in Africa.
