المستخلص: تحتل اللغة البشرية المكانة المرموقة في حياة الإنسان الفكرية ومختلف نشاطاته الحياتية، ذلك لأنه عاجز- تمام العجز- إجراء أي تواصل بين الأفراد والمجتمعات من دون اللجوء إلى اللغة، كما لا يتسنى له سبر أغوار المنظومة الفكرية الإنسانية دون امتلاك ناصيتها، وما يحكمها من أنظمة متكاملة ومتفاعلة فيما بينها ضمن إطار النظام اللغوي الشامل الذي بواسطته يعبر الفكر الإنساني عن كيانه، أي أن هذا الإنسان في الوقت الذي اقتدر فيه على الاصطلاح ووضع الألفاظ، اهتدى بحكم تفكيره إلى وضع قواعد لضبط اللفظ، وتحديد المعنى، وتنسيق العبارة، وتحسينها وتجميلها، فكانت اللغة، ولعل ما كان يطلقون عليه "اللغة" كان يقابله مصطلح اللسان. وبمقدار رقي الجماعة وتحضرها يكون حظ لغاتها أيضا من وضع القواعد، وطرق التنسيق والتجميل، لأنها إضافة إلى كونها عبارة عن "أصوات يعبر بها كل قوم عن أغراضهم". فهي محكومة أيضا بجملة من النواميس اللغوية تلزم المتكلم احترامها في كل عملية تواصل. فعلى المستوى الصوتي فهي مقيدة بمدرجة الممتد من الشفتين إلى أقصى الحلق. وعلى مستوى الاستعمال ما تقدر هذه الأصوات صنعه في أثناء تقلبها وتركبها من ألفاظ مستعملة وألفاظ يمكن استعمالها في المستقبل، وكلا المستويين لهما مقدار محسوب لا تقوى اللغة على مجاوزته. فرصيد الألفاظ العربية المستعملة ثمانون ألف مادة، والممكنة الاستعمال يرقى بها الحساب إلى اثني عشر ألف مادة. والعرب عرفوا الإعراب قبل علم النحو، وكان ذلك ملكة طبيعية فيهم حتى اختلطوا بالأعاجم. وتاريخ العربية كشف عن الجهود التي بذلت كي تسود لغة القرآن في وضوحها والتزامها الإعراب، ولتكون لغة عامة لا وجود فيها للغات الخاصة الطائفية. وأسفر الدرس اللغوي عند العرب عن استقراء الضوابط التي تحكم العربية على أنها نظام كامل، لأن مجمل التعاريف للغة لم تخرج عن كونها بناء جاء على نحو معين، أي أنها نظام، إضافة إلى كونها غريزة وفطرة.

The human language occupies a prominent position in the man’s intellectual life and his various life activities, as he is completely incapable of performing any communication between individuals and communities without resorting to language, nor he is able to explore the foundations of the human intellectual system without mastering its entity and the complete and interactive rules which govern it within the framework of a comprehensive linguistic system through which the human thinking expresses its being. That is, this human being, while he was able to establish the terminology and put forward the words, he was guided by his thinking to establish rules to control the word, define the meaning, coordinate the phrase, improve it and beautify it to make the language. And perhaps what they referred to as ‘language’ was matched by the concept of ‘tongue’. The extent of the group’s development is accompanied by the development of its languages in making the rules and methods of coordination and beauty. Because, in addition of being ‘sounds by which nations express their purposes’, language is also governed by a set of linguistic norms that the speaker must respect in every communication process. At the vocal level, language is bounded by a scale ranging from the lips to the end of the throat. As for the level of usage, during its fluctuation and combination, the sounds can compose a set of used words and words that can be used in the future. Both levels have a calculated amount that the language cannot exceed. The Arabic language used eighty thousand articles, and the possible used articles number goes up to twelve thousand items. The Arabs defined the expression before the science of grammar, and that was an innate characteristic until they mixed with the Aajim (non-arabs). The history of Arabic revealed the efforts made to make the language of the Coran prevail in its clarity and its commitment to define the expressions, so as to make it a language that is free from the special sectarian languages. The linguistic lesson for Arabs resulted in extrapolating the rules that govern the Arabic language as a complete system, because the overall definitions of language did not go beyond the fact of being made in the form of a particular scheme which means that language is a system in addition to being innate and instinct.
