تضمن البحث جمع الأحاديث الواردة في لف الكساء على فاطمة وزوجها وأولادها - رضي الله عنهم، ودراسة أسانيدها، والحكم عليها بمقتضى القواعد العلمية الحديثية، ثم النظر في معناها، مع ذكر أقوال أهل العلم في المراد بأهل البيت، ومناقشة الأقوال، وبيان أن أهل البيت هم زوجات النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بدليل الكتاب، وأصحاب الكساء بدليل السنة، فليس في القرآن حصر لأهل البيت في الزوجات، ولا في الأحاديث حصر لأهل البيت في أصحاب الكساء، ومن قصر المراد بأهل البيت على أحدهما فقد أهمل ما يجب إعماله من الأدلة، وأن أهل البيت اجتمع لهم وصفان شريفان النسب أو الصهر من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، مع الملازمة والقرب منه صلى الله عليه وسلم، بحيث لا يستغرب عرفا اجتماعهم به وسكنهم معه في بيت واحد، بخلاف غيرهم ممن له نسب أو صهر ولم يلازم، أو له ملازمة وليس ذا نسب وصهر.
The research involves the collection of the hadiths about wrapping Fatimah, her husband and her sons (may Allah be pleased with them all) with the garment. This involves exploring its chain of narration, classifying them according Hadith methodology. Then, the content will be examined. The statements of scholars regarding the definition of the term “Ahl al Bayt” will be discussed. The paper argues that “ahl Al-Bayt” refers to the Prophet’s wives according to the Qur’an and those who were wrapped by the garment based on the Sunnah. The Qur’an does not limit “Ahl al- Bayt” to the Prophet’s wives nor does the sunah limit it to those who were wrapped by the garment. Whoever limits the term to either party overlooks the totality of evidence. The people of “Ahl al-Bayt” are defined by two honorable facets: lineage by blood or marriage to the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him).In addition, they should be part of his household or companionship so that they are deemed habitual residents of the same house, unlike those who might be relatives by blood or marriage and lived separately, or those who might keep the company of the Prophet without being relatives by blood or marriage.
